The company has three main divisions, namely, software and services, platforms, and electronic devices.

The software and services division includes solutions and systems integration, and infrastructure services. The products in by this division include CRM, IT consulting, and internet services. The division caters to the local government, manufacturing, and retailing industry sectors.

The platforms division includes servers, storage systems, mobile and IP networks, transmission systems, PCs, mobile phones, and other devices such as hard disk drives. The mobile phone strategy has been refocused to look at 3G handsets and phones with cameras and other extra features. In telecommunications, the company has moved into the cable television market.

The electronic devices division includes semiconductors and other components such as LCDs and SAW devices. The division focuses on digital media chips for mobile phones and mobile bases, particularly for the Asian market.

Fujitsu and Germany's Siemens have combined most of their European computer operations (Fujitsu Siemens Computers). Fujitsu has also formed an allegiance with Hitachi (Fujitsu Hitachi Plasma Display) to commercialize plasma display panels for televisions.

The company's subsidiaries include Shinko Electric Industries, FDK, and Fanuc. The company operates in Japan and across the globe in the Americas, Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa.
