NewYorkPass

newyorkpassOur family of four went to New York City for four nights during 4th of July 2003. We knew we couldn't see everything, but we wanted to find an easy way to see the most popular attractions at reduced rates.

The New York City Pass is like a credit card that you use which entitles users free entry to over 40 places of interest and more. They have 1, 2, 3, and 7-day passes with a price range of $42 - $125 per adult and lower rates for children ages 2 to 12. It also includes a Metrocard for unlimited bus and subway travel (a $21 value), a guide book, and line-skipping privileges at select places.

We were able to get a 3-day pass ($98) for the price of a 2-day pass ($69) when we purchased the passes on the internet.

At most of the places we visited, we would just go up to the GROUP TOUR ticket counter and give them our pass. Many times this was faster than the regular lines. We were very satisfied with every attraction we went to. I feel this is the best money saving idea around!

The guide gives details which include much needed information such as the closest public transportation stop, address and phone number of the attraction, detailed street map, disabled access, and more.

Here is a comprehensive list of most of what is offered on the New York City Pass. See my other reviews for the attractions that I placed a * next to.
