Travelocity really provided us with an enjoyable shopping experience. Beautiful vacation photos are displayed on the front page, which helped us to envision fun in the sun and exciting adventures. Browsing the site for rates and services is free, and no payment is expected until you actually purchase a travel plan. The search results feature a variety of different options so that you can choose the plan best suited for your needs.
The website is organized by a list of drop-down menus located at the top of the page. These allow you to view the contents of each section before clicking on it, which is a huge time-saver when browsing large sites. We also found all of the pages to be attractive and easy to read.
Once you choose a travel itinerary, the Travelocity sign-up form does require you to enter a number of personal details, but this information is necessary in order to reserve your booking. The website will send you travel confirmations following the sign up process, but no other e-mail advertisements or spam will ever be sent to your address. In general, we found the Travelocity experience to be pleasant, user-friendly and attentive to the needs of the travel shopper.

Travelocity features a “Customer Care” link at the top of their website, a phrase we felt reflected Travelocity’s attitude toward customer service in general. The Customer Care section features a very comprehensive list of help items, frequently asked questions, and links to online tutorials. If none of these resources answer your question, you are invited to e-mail the customer service team and are guaranteed a reply within 3 hours.
Travelocity also offers a 24/7 toll-free customer support line. We felt that this was a necessity when booking with a travel website due to the relative urgency of trip questions, and were pleased to learn that help is available around the clock. Travelocity is one of the only sites to do this, and we were very happy with them for it.

Downside:
Last-minute customers will not have a very wide selection to choose from.
